A native of Kansas City, Maggie Stark received an MFA from the University of Kansas. Since moving to the Boston area, she has shown her work throughout the region including the Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA, the ICA in Portland, ME, and the Nielsen Gallery in Boston, MA. From 2000 to 2008 she was a member of the Boston Sculptors Gallery, where her exhibition “Accidental Vision” was cited as one of ten best gallery exhibitions of the year in the Boston area. Ms. Stark has had residencies with the Millay Colony, the Vermont Studio Center and the Corning Museum of Glass. She was recently awarded a cultural fellowship to study at the Goethe Institute in Berlin. Stark is currently on the faculty of Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts, where she also lives and maintains a studio.
